Slipped Disk ‘08

Fall Slipped Disc ‘08

Summer company parties are soooo cliché! That’s why, in ‘08, we decided to enjoyed the turning leaves instead. For the most part, we “all” (yeah Brian….I’m looking at you) dressed in “traditional” (no Tiger…I’m not looking at you) golf get-ups and took to the disc-golf links. The place was called Pleasant Hill Disc Golf and it was spectacular!!!!  I should mention that we arrived at said golf course via Maine Limousine Service.  Truly delightful driver and the now ‘official limo company’ of The Snug!!!

Everyone (except the ringer) outdid themselves in pageantry. Trust me, we all played as well as we looked!!! Fine, we looked ridiculous and played ridiculous, but it wasn’t about winning or losing….it was about making the people around us feel very, very uncomfortable. Oh, how we scored.

Speaking of uncomfortable people…we were then whisked to the Black Point Inn for dinner. It is true, we did put on quite a show; graciously posing for pictures with friendly tourist and, at one point, being mistaken by a Québécoise lawyer for an acting troupe or musical group. With that said, I suspect our food would have sucked just as much had we been in our civies. Sully enjoyed whatever it was he ordered, but besides him, it was “revolting” all around.  I can personally say, it was the worst meal I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Kudos, however, to the unflappable waitstaff. Well done!

So, after “finishing” our meal, we set out to find something to eat! Our limo guy politely put up with us all the way to Local 188 where Joe R was working; felt like old-times!
